The markhor roams the tallest mountain ranges of Asia, the rugged peaks of the Himalayas, Hindu Kush, and Karakoram ranges, often scaling altitudes of up to 3,600 meters. These wild terrains demand resilience, agility, and an instinctive sense of balance, traits we admire and draw inspiration from in every leather piece we make.

 

🌀 A Crown of Corkscrew Horns

The markhor’s most iconic feature? Its spiraling horns, which can grow up to 165 cm (65 inches) in males. These aren’t just ornaments, they’re survival tools and symbols of dominance, protection, and beauty.

Its name, derived from Persian “Mar” (snake) and “Khor” (eater) has given rise to myths of a serpent-fighting beast. But beyond folklore, the markhor holds real-world meaning. As the national animal of Pakistan, it represents grace under pressure, survival against the odds, and proud heritage.
